First Warning
Sorry man, but when I gave you advice to stand out and make good contributions, I did not mean by adding useless categories and unneeded information to pages. According to the rules, you get your first warning. Not only for doing it, but for the amount you did it. Nothing personal, man. -- Rayne Message 00:35, February 21, 2011 (UTC)
Second warning
Yet again, I noticed Steen reverted several of your edits, all bad quality. Look, you're a nice fellow, but if I see another bad quality edit, I'll be giving you your second official warning, no question. Look, if you are having trouble with editing then ask a staff member for help. That's what I did at first, and now I'm staff because I learnt and took one advise. Do the same if stuck. No hard feelings, but you will be in trouble if you continue with you're crap quality in editing. AssassinRome 16:12, March 2, 2011 (UTC)
Second (Official) Warning
Hey I.S.H! Just to add to what Rome said, we really don't want to be going around issuing official warnings here, but I think you are leaving us no choice in this circumstance. I see you are really trying to contribute here, but I have been closely monitoring your edits and I'm not too impressed. You are compulsively adding unnecessary info to pages and your writing is sloppy for the most part (We staff can only do so much cleaning up after you here). If you're unsure of sentence layouts or spellings, try typing your additions into a program like microsoft word first, to correct your mistakes. You gotta be more considerate of the pages your editing, you are reducing the quality of some excellent articles, which some of us have worked hard on okay?! Please take this warning as a positive rather than a negative, use it as an experience to alter how you participate here, and do not hesitate to ask for help, thats what we, the staff, are here for. Sorry it had to come to this pal --The green lioNChatterbox 02:08, March 3, 2011 (UTC)
Exactly. I warned you, I told you to seek advise, but so far it seems you haven't given my advise a seond though. Look, we all think you're nice, but no one in the Istruttorium will allow their personal views to get in the way of something necessary, and what Steen done was. I don't give a shit about excuses when it comes to low quaity edits, unless you, for some reason, don't even bother checking you're edit before publishing. So either I or anyone else will be giving you a third damn warning if this continues. Want me advise? My advise is to follow the advise people have given to you above. AssassinRome 17:41, March 3, 2011 (UTC)
That's it! Stop accusing this guy of not seeking any help; I, on the IRC, have being offering advice and tips to him. Now yes, his edits are rather unnecessary, but he clearly has good intentions, and all of these warnings are just going to demotivate him, no matter how polite you are about it. So, I'm going to continue to help him, until he gets it. Now at ISH, how about explaining to Rome that you have being seeking advice, so that I don't have to defend you. Remember to keep things relevant to AC, looking at your edits, I would suggest you go to the stubs page, and add to the historical pages there, if you want more help though, head back on the IRC, I'm very patient as you can tell, but if you don't take any of my advice, and learn from your mistakes, then you will be getting that third warning. -- ’R BlaiddDdraig 00:39, March 4, 2011 (UTC)
- 'R Blaidd, please don't de-validate our warnings by defending his actions. We are all aware of his good intentions and know that he honestly wants to contribute well to this wiki, but when you have to revert edit after edit after edit and the user isn't getting the hint you have to take more drastic measures. Rome gave him a pre-warning, which was not needed, I reverted multiple edits by him, requesting that he slow down but this too was ignored. Look, when all of us were new to this - we made mistakes too, and many of us, including myself, received notifications from staff about our careless behavior. We chose to take these 'warnings' as opportunities to alter our behavior on the wiki, and we really benefited from it. These warnings are not to be seen as something to de-motivate a user, but instead - to re-motivate them to change how they interact here. Okay, thank you! --The green lioNChatterbox 10:09, March 4, 2011 (UTC)
- Look, he is a nice guy, but this is necessary. And even though I was unaware of the advise you were giving him it appears that he ignored mine or yours and Steen's as he was still making all those low quality, unnecessary edits. If you feel so strongly about this, Blaidd, then please bring it to a Admin's attention that we are somewhat bullying him. Look, all three of us have made mistakes from are edits here, and don't deny it. But you learn from a mistake, and I'm afraid it appears Joe has not. And, here is another bit of advise: ask for help, Joe when stuck. AssassinRome 15:55, March 4, 2011 (UTC)
- First of all, you are not bullying him, I never said that, and if I felt that strongly about it, I would've brought it to an Admin already. Secondly, why would I deny a mistake, when it is so easy to check a person's history. Finally, the reason why I am defending him is because somebody has to, as he's not going to start a fight with a staff member, though he needs to know that someone in a staff position still has hope for him, and hasn't given up. Now I understand that his edits aren't exactly great, but he's trying, and as long as he doesn't give up on himself, neither will I. -- ’R BlaiddDdraig 16:36, March 4, 2011 (UTC)
- Okay this is all getting a bit heavy now. We never said we had lost hope for him or wanted him to give up on himself, thats very extreme. This IS a community after all, we as staff wish to encourage all our budding editors, and I.S.H has shown some potential, but needs to listen to our warnings and suggestions. He could be a valuable editor in the future providing he listens to what we have to say. I am aware that when a staff member contacts you in this way, that it can seem a bit daunting, but users should not see us in this light, we are not bounty hunters out for his head - we are "instructors", Istruttori, and so we must instruct. We don't want to discourage him or hurt his feelings, but we must give honest advice - which will prove invaluable to his progression here. I.S.H., when you read this please do not take it all in a negative way, just use it as a bench mark, a way to move forward. I will be happy to help you, as will any other staff member, just leave me a message and I will get back to you. Thank you. --The green lioNChatterbox 17:49, March 4, 2011 (UTC)
