Assassin's Creed RED

DO NOT ADD TO ARTICLE. SPECULATION.

Gameplay

Assassin's Creed: Red feature a dual protagonist system similar to what was demonstrated in Assassin's Creed: Syndicate with the ability to switch between at will. The first protagonist is a female Japanese shinobi named Fujibayashi Naoe, set on a path to avenge her father Fujibayashi Nagato. The second is the African samurai, Yasuke, who onboard a slave-ship survived an attack and ended up in the service of Oda Nobunaga.[1] The aforementioned was confirmed by [UBISOFT?] in [MONTH] 2024.[2] First reported by Insider Gaming, Naoe and Yasuke will begin the game as enemies but will eventually side with each other,[1] which was later confirmed by [UBISOFT?] in [MONTH] 2024.[3]

According to GameRant, Assassin's Creed: Red will be the last title in the series to follow the Action-RPG format first started in Assassin's Creed: Origins, this was later confirmed by [UBISOFT?] in [MONTH] 2024.[4] Features reported to be in the game include; the ability to extinguish torches for hiding spots, the ability to go prone, and an Enemy Posture Meter (akin to Sekiro and FromSoftware games). The map which is said to be larger than Assassin's Creed: Valhalla but smaller than Assassin's Creed: Odyssey will encompass most if not all of Japan. Similar to Ubisoft's Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, players will be given the option to be more immersed with less guidance and map mark reliance.[1]

Gadgets and tools set to be present in the game are a Grappling Hook, kunai, shuriken, smoke bombs, and bells. Enemy commanders can be defeated, spared and recruited (similar to Odyssey's sparing mercenaries system) as spies. Gun wielding ashigaru will also be a present enemy archetype.[1]
