Why, Hello There=

Who am I, you ask? Well listen and I will tell you.

Hi, I'm kabutsu, an Xbox 360 player and a huge fan of Assassin's Creed. (According to Assassin of Persia's blog, I'm 64% addicted to Assassin's Creed). I first got into Assassin's Creed in autumn 2008 when I heard a friend talking about it. The fool I was, when I saw AC: Altaïr's Chronicles for the DS on the shelf of my local GAME, I believed that was the game. Fortunately, I also found out about the actual Assassin's Creed, and got it for that Christmas. I instantly fell in love, and have been pre-ordering every AC since.

I'm also very excited for Far Cry 3, another Ubi game coming out in December, and as such, I am a member of the Far Cry Wiki. Check them out!

Besides gaming, I also love writing (both creatively and analytically), rock climbing, downhill and mountain biking, and coding.

I am currently at the start of Year 11 in secondry school in England. For GCSEs, I am doing Maths, English Language, English Literature, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Business Studies, Graphic Products, and History; so if I don't post often, it is because I am studying. But studying can wait when Assassin's Creed III comes out.

Finally, I'll give credit where credit's due: thanks to Crimson and GI for letting me use their awesome infobox to the right -->

If you wish to use it on your profile page, don't make the mistake I did and remember to give credit to them.

Oh, and if you want to copy + paste my review of Assassin's Creed III, below, onto your user page, go ahead.

Assassin's Creed III Xbox 360 Review
by

Story and Pacing Overall, Assassin's Creed III boasts by far the most interesting and engaging story from the series to date. However, the long start does leave players itching to get into Connor's shoes for a long time, and Desmond's story is far from satisfactory. But this is the most morally grey of the franchise so far, and Connor's conflicts with Achilles, and with morality as a whole, are executed well, so the story deserves a solid 22/25.
Gameplay,

Re-playability, and Setting

The biggest lifts for Assassin's Creed III's gameplay come in it's navigation, combat, and sheer amount of side content. The combat is much more fluid and easy to control, as is the navigation, with the wilderness setting a perfect place to explore new methods of navigation. The single player mode keeps you entertained with a barrage of entertaining side-missions, of which the naval combat is the most exciting, keeping you hooked for longer, despite an array of glitches and horrendous AI. The multiplayer also offers an interesting, slower-paced alternatives to other games, giving the gameplay a score of 21/25.
Audio Quality and Soundtrack I'm no sound expert, but the sound effects and audio quality of Assassin's Creed III are great. The soundtrack also wholly captures the atmosphere of the era, with a mix of lively, exciting tunes and more emotional, slower-paced ones, giving the audio a 22/25.
Visuals and UI Assassin's Creed III's graphics and animations are, simply put, stunning. The draw distance has been greatly improved upon and the visuals in the visuals in the cut scenes are absolutely fantastic. The menus are simple and easy to use, whilst the HUD is minimalist and easy removable, immersing you into the beautiful world of Assassin's Creed's America. But it is the sheer amount of detail on each character that earns this a 25/25.
Closing Comments
In conclusion, Assassin's Creed III offers a huge and diverse world, filled to the brim with things to do and places to explore, ensuring even the least attentive will rarely be bored. The story is easily the best in the series so far, and the multiplayer offers an interesting alternative to the other high-action games on the market. But it is not without its flaws, and the sheer size of the game weighs it down with a multitude of glitches and bugs. The AI is also horrendous, and Desmond's story is anti-climactic. Despite this, Assassin's Creed III is a hugely entertaining game, and a strong contender for Game Of The Year.
90/100
