'Aqarquf Dunes

The 'Aqarquf Dunes was a region of the Arabian Desert located in Iraq, north of Baghdad. It was named after the ancient Kassite city of Dur-Kurigalzu, which was known as known by its modern name of Aqarquf.

During the 860s, the dunes and the ancient city was visited by the Hidden One Basim Ibn Ishaq.[1]
