Any project brought to my attention by another member of the site should be displayed here in order to keep the formatting clean and the idea clear. Projects can be anything from major overhauling in articles to templates ideas.
Keep in mind that this sandbox is to be used by anyone, and not by me. Knock yourselfs out ;D
The Theif
Background?
I was thinking, we should have a background similiar to the Mafia wikia's one but take out the mobsters and put the Assassins (The apprentices). It's just an idea, since I could make them transparent so It wouldn't be a huge clunky background, but instead fit in the wiki (Or I could easily place them on a backgrund of your choice).
Take a look at the Mafia wiki and you'll see what I mean. Mafia Wiki
If you agree just give me a suitable background size/canvas and i'll get to work on it.

- It ma be worth a try, things is: we don't have just a background, but a whole skin. Changing the background would imply further modifications, and I'll have to think them through. I'll get back to you on that ;D
If you have more ideas, feel free to post them. -- D. Cello 01:28, July 7, 2010 (UTC)
Staff... thing... whatever.
Here's an idea, maybe you should have an 'Aspiring Editor' (With a productive name of course, they could be the Staff's goons or something) section/rank, a page for people that are dedicated to the wiki, but are not quite ready/wanting to join the Istrutti (Or if it's full, etc), and then maybe there would be another good use for War's panel pictures. ^^

- That's interesting. It's a concept I'm willing to implement, but we need to shape it more before bringing it to the community. You have any idea formed? -- D. Cello 02:07, July 10, 2010 (UTC)

- Well, on the Staff Panel, It could be under the Istrutti. (Obviously, lmao)
- Users who become apart of the team will be encouraged to edit more often and will be quite happy with that spiffy and respectable looking badge on their page, most dedicated editors don't get much of a reward for editing. :)
- Here are some name ideas;
- --
- Article Spy
- "This user is an Article Spy, a shady editor which is always on watch for a page breach, these users are noted for their skill and dedication to the wiki"
- 'The Cavalry' ( I prefer this one )
- "This user is apart of 'The Cavarly'; A back-up, knowledgeable team of editors who serve the Istruttori and Administrators, these users are noted for their skill and dedication to the wiki."

- Interesting... very interesting. I'll ask some of our most proeminet editors to come here check this out and igve their oppinions. =] -- D. Cello 02:32, July 10, 2010 (UTC)

- Sure thing, boss. I hope it gets implemented, It's a great way to award editors. :D

I made a few invivtations, but I'm kinda sleepy and can't remember some names x.x If there's any member you want to invite or catches your eye, go call them ;D -- D. Cello 02:57, July 10, 2010 (UTC)
Received the Invite
Staff Goons eh? It sounds so belittling and kinda sounds like an insult if said in the wrong tone, so I'd prefer the term "Little Helper" instead :D
That said, this is a good concept. Kinda a little reward for those who've helped out a lot in the wiki. Interesting idea. I'm all up for it :D War Clown 05:32, July 10, 2010 (UTC)

Other than these awesome userboxes (courtesy of your truly), I have an idea regarding the Staff Panel, particularly the Istruttori. As you know, there are various multi-player characters that have been made public so far, and I thought, instead of the Istruttori being a Hospitalier, an Instructor/Guard, an Informant, and Da Vinci, I thought we could make it something like this:
| Zwoooooosh | PhantomT1412 | War Clown | Requiem |
|---|
So, what do you think? War Clown 14:32, July 9, 2010 (UTC)
- Looks good too. But we need pictures of all MP characters, all with a white background and all measuring 100px. 2 of the pictures above aren't squares, but rectangles. We are the staff, we have to look awesome! ;D
By the way, you know how to add the userboxes to Templates? -- D. Cello 17:37, July 9, 2010 (UTC)
- I thought you knew how :( Anyways, what do you mean by rectangles? War Clown 05:37, July 10, 2010 (UTC)

Userboxes
I'm glad to see another wiki using the userboxes, it was a sad day when Halopedia shut them down. I was one of the most active in the creation of the userboxes, and I was curious if I was allowed to create my own for everyone to use. Basic ones like "This User hates Brutes" or something like that, and more customized, like "This User is saddened by the loss of Uncle Mario" and the such. If this is permitted, then I would just have to scavenge the old userbox code from Halopedia (might take some time, but I know it's still there) and find some good pictures to go with them.
Also, I was curious as to if it would be possible/allowed for us non-Admins to create our own, custom userboxes, and, maybe, just maybe, if they get popular enough they, the custom userbox, could get added to the userbox page?
Groups
As well as the above curiosity, I have another question. I was wondering if the Admins would like to implement a group system. Again, this is like what Halopedia had, but once again, shut it down. I already know about the Istruttori, which monitors Featured Articles and the like, but if we included some other groups, like for instance the Assassins and Templars. Assassins gain rank via fixing, creating, and expanding the Assassin pages, and the same for the Templars (except Templar pages). When Halopedia had this sort of thing going it brought many of the Users who like the same type of pages together, creating new friendships. Of course each group would need a "group admin" (for the Assassins maybe a "Master Assassin" and the Templars a "Grandmaster".). As well as each group having ranks that have something to do with the group (Assassins having "Initiate" for those that had just joined, or have not done much.), in which the User sends a request to a Group Admin asking for a promotion with a link to their contributions, and if said GA (Group Admin) agrees then the User is allowed to move their name to a rank above their previous one.
Also, each group should have an enforcer like User (Possibly "Judge" for the Templars), that goes through the lower ranked Users in their respective group and make sure they're following each groups' policies, and this special rank can only be given by the GAs, and only given to like one or two, max of three Users that have proven themselves worthy. Each enforcer, should they find enough evidence, bring this attention to both the GA(s) and the wiki Admins so that the suspected User gets reprimanded properly (Such as banning from the group, and or, banned from the wiki for a set amount of time).
Thank you very much for taking the time to look at these ideas of mine. The very menacing machine.
