So, do we know anything about this guy? I know he is mentioned in the Revelations novel, but I wonder why did Ezio choose him as his succesor instead of Claudia.

Years of Life

What's the source of his birth and death dates? I've not read the book, but it doesn't seem like the sort of thing it'd contain.
