Talk:Egyptian Rite of the Templar Order
Move to Order of the Ancients
If "Egyptian Rite" is really a conjectural name, this article should be moved to the confirmed name of Order of the Ancients. The only possibility of "Egyptian Rite" possibly being confirmed would be in the original Assassin's Creed comic series. Sol Pacificus(Cyfiero) 06:14, August 2, 2017 (UTC)
- I've read the original comic series and the term "Egyptian Rite" is never actually said, they are only referred to as "Templars". It makes sense, since no other Templar Rites featured within the story. This is kind of the same thing as the conundrum with the Roman Brotherhood, who called themselves the Liberalis Circulum during their own time. I propose that, at the moment, we wait for the game to be released. Perhaps they will be called the Egyptian Rite by someone in modern day. The Wikia Editor (talk) 10:33, August 2, 2017 (UTC)
- You're right, it is best to wait, especially since moving pages back and forth sometimes causes errors and complications. Sol Pacificus(Cyfiero) 08:43, August 2, 2017 (UTC)
I think it's time we make the move. The Order of the Ancients would be both more relevant and the sourced name. If it turns out the Templars in the modern-day do call it the Egyptian Rite, we can move it back. Sol Pacificus(Cyfiero) 01:17, September 15, 2017 (UTC)
