A Ship of His Own
A Ship of His Own was a virtual representation of one of Adéwalé's genetic memories, relived by a research analyst at Abstergo Entertainment through the Animus.
Description
Adéwalé met with Augustin Dieufort and collaborated a plan to steal a ship.
Dialogue
- Augustin: Every day, more slaves arrive.
- Adéwalé: Human cargo makes for lucrative trade. I once hoped men of education could be made to see the cost. But profit makes them ignorant.
- Augustin: With the right vessel, you could intercept the slave ships before they arrive. Or you would be free to leave. You have already paid more than your share the (Maroons) of Saint Domingue. And I am no master, I cannot choose for you. This Brigantine could meet your needs, if you could relieve it of its crew. Bastienne has volunteered her women to draw the men away. Or you could set that tower alight to distract them.
- Adéwalé: Excellent options, all of them.
Augustin handed Adéwalé some firecrackers.
- Adéwalé: What's this?
- Augustin: Firecrackers. Some of your recruits salvaged them. It's only right that you should use them.
- Adéwalé: Excellent.
- Augustin: Once you send me a signal, I will send our men to join you.
Adéwalé headed for the harbor and used a powder keg to light the watchtower on fire. With the guards distracted, Adéwalé climbed to the top of the Experto Crede and signaled Augustin.
Outcome
Once aboard the Experto Crede, Adéwalé took to the wheel, with Augustin as his quartermaster, and set sail to find a slave ship.
