Talk:Assassin's Creed Encyclopedia
Encyclopedia?!
Wait wait wait... Encyclopedia?! This means that the characters inside the book will be canonical, right? -- Master Sima Yi 11:44, February 13, 2011 (UTC)
- I don't think they will all be canonical. I imagine they'll have an archive of Assassin's Creed knowledge (Can't wait!) with an artbook at the back.
- Or they'll do it in the form of a timeline, portraying the war between The Assassin's and The Templars over the course of history. For Ancient Rome, the Crusades, The Renaissance, The Russian Revolution, The Fall's storyline and 2012, they'll use the known characters; Aquilus, Altair, Ezio, Orelov, Daniel and Desmond respectively. But for all the time periods in between, I imagine they'll use the Artbook's Assassins. RussellSparrow 14:58, February 13, 2011 (UTC)
- Hmm... Anyways, encyclopedia = awesomeness! -- Master Sima Yi 15:00, February 13, 2011 (UTC)
- I must say these pictures are incredible! The detail and the figures of the characters are just perfect in design.

I think it will be, but if not, you can get it at ubiworkshop.PingoEagle 08:09, October 23, 2011 (UTC)
Theoretical theory.
Codes on Spine of Black edition?
On the Black edition, There's a series of "/source\S17.Anima" Followed by a date then a data string. Possibly to do with certain events in Desmonds life.
The one that catches my eye however is "/source\S16.Anima.08082012"
Could this be the date that S16 copied his conciousness to the animus? Or another event pertaining to him?
Typographical errors
I love the Encyclopedia, and look forward to buying the 2nd Edition. But was anyone else struck by the multiple typographical errors in the 1st Edition (White Version, I don't know if they exist in the Black Version)? I mean, I know Ubi was under deadline to get the book printed and sent out on time, but copyediting is a vital part of the publication process. Hopefully, we'll see few (if any) errors in the 2nd Edition. Also...if anyone from UbiSoft is reading this, I would be happy to copyedit for an acknowledgement and a copy of the 2nd Edition! - Yes and our current Co-Bureaucrat Master Sima Yi wrote a very detailed blog (link here) on the subject as well as providing his knowledge for the 2nd edition (which he is credited for). -- ► Kaloneous ◄ ♣HelpDesk♣ 14:54, May 31, 2012 (UTC)
- That's a fantastic post, and very thorough. Congratulations to Master Sima Yi on the credit. But I was focusing more on the misspellings and poor grammar, and the occassional mis-formatting. Even if we're not paying attention to the vague language surrounding Templar/Assassin leadership and divisions of the organizations, simple errors in the actual printing should be caught before publication. - If you think that's bad then you should avoid reading the novels. -- ► Kaloneous ◄ ♣HelpDesk♣ 15:59, May 31, 2012 (UTC)
