Ōmononushi (大物主神) is a kami in Japanese mythology. His chief place of worship is Ōmiwa Shrine. In 1582, the Assassin Fujibayashi Naoe came to the shrine seeking the miko maiden Fuyu. Fuyu believed Naoe to have been sent by Ōmononushi and bade the Assassin follow her to pay respect to the kami.[1]
