Île Saint-Louis is one of two remaining natural islands in the Seine within the city of Paris, alongside the Île de la Cité. It is connected to the southern bank of the Seine by the Pont de la Tournelle, to the northern bank by the Pont Marie and originally connected to the Île de la Cité by Pont Rouge.[1]

The small island also housed the Hôtel de Lauzun,[2] the de la Serre estate and the Café Théâtre.[1]
