Yakuza
The yakuza is an organized crime syndicate that originated in Japan.
History
The Yakuza as we know it has its origins in the early 
Edo period on Wikipedia, being the precursor to a gang of former rōnins from the Sengoku period called Kabukimono.[1]
In the winter of 2013, a faction of the yakuza called the Onmoraki-Gumi attacked the Japanese Assassins' local cell in Osaka[2] and killed several Assassins, including their mentor Kenichi Mochizuki. By 12 December 2013,[3] Kenichi's wife Saeko Mochizuki took charge of the Brotherhood and launched a successful retaliation against the Onmoraki-Gumi. As a result, she took control of the yakuza's faction to blend her Assassins in the city.[4]
