Winchell, known by his epiteths The Usurper and later The Robesfree, was an Anglo-Saxon man who lived in Grantebridgescire, Mercia around 870s CE.

Winchell was a nudist, who believed that all should disrobe and live without clothes under the grace of God, including the many nobles of Grantebridgescire as well as Alfred of Wessex. Being banished from the nobles' presence, Winchell founded a group of nudists, though at some point was also exiled from them for his enthusiasm. Winchell later tasked Viking warrior Eivor Varinsdottir with stealing the nudists' clothes, receiving his diary as a reward.[1]
