Wincestre Garrison

Wincestre Garrison was an Anglo-Saxon military outpost and prison in Wincestre, Hamtunscire.
History
In 877, the Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan traveled to Wincestre Garrison, after investigating the Reeve Goodwin's home and finding threats from "The Gallows." Within the garrison, Eivor sleuthed her way inside and whispered inquiries to other prisoners about Goodwin's location. From her search, Eivor headed inward to the inner compound of the garrison and rescued Goodwin from a building's lower cells. Upon his rescue, both Eivor and Goodwin escaped the garrison and regrouped later outside.[1] Through her travels, Eivor also probed the grounds of the garrison and found a chest behind a barred door within one of the garrison's buildings. Breaking through the door, Eivor opened the chest and retrieved the Mentor's Trousers.[2]
