William Wilkins (31 August 1778 – 31 August 1839), was an English architect.

Wilkins was responsible for the design of second building for the National Gallery, after the original residence proved far too small. He designed it in a neo-classical fashion and in 1832, the National Gallery moved to the building which it now occupies, off Trafalgar Square.[1]
