Sir William Jenner, 1st Baronet (1815 – 1898) was an English physician, most well known for discovering the difference between typhus and typhoid.

Biography

During the April of 1865, William Jenner tended to King Leopold I of Belgium on the instruction of his niece, Queen Victoria. Jenner would send correspondence to the Queen after the King refused to heed the medical professional's opinion on keeping up with nourishment. Queen Victoria, in a letter to her uncle begged him to listen to the doctor's advice.[1]
