The Welcome was a trading sloop during the American Revolutionary War.
History
In 1778, Benjamin Church, a traitor to the Continental Army and the Templar Order, fled to Martinique on the Welcome with supplies he had stolen from the Continental Army at Valley Forge.
Learning of Church's heading, Ratonhnhaké:ton and his Haytham Kenway pursued the Welcome on the Aquila, and found the ship adrift, soon realizing Church had fled onto another ship. After demasting that ship and interrogating Church, they learned the supplies had been dropped on the island, awaiting pick-up.
