Vár was a goddess associated with oaths and agreements in Norse mythology.

Legacy and influence

Vár had a totem named after her in the popular dice game Orlog, played during the 9th century. The piece "Vár's Bond" would heal the player in accordance to the favor (⌘) spent by their opponent. Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan acquired the piece after defeating a player in Wincestre.[1]
