The Vanguard was a type of guard found in Elysium, used by most Isu but mainly by Persephone, these heavy guards often wore a large shield and heavy weapon, proving to be a formidable foe.

During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra encountered a large number of these enemies during her travels in Elysium.
