Uí Ímair
The Uí Ímair was a Norse-Gaelic dynasty that ruled much of the Irish Sea, Dublin, the western coast of Scotland and portions of northern England in the late 9th century. The dynasty was founded by Ímair, a Viking leader from Norway who raided Ireland and Scotland prior to becoming the King of Dublin in 853 CE. Raven Clan shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir was related to Uí Ímair through her cousin Bárid mac Ímair.[1]
