European Pond Turtle

Turtles are a class of reptiles known as Testudines, characterized by the shell developed from their ribs.

During the late 880s in West Francia, the Viking jarlskona Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan hunted three regular European pond turtles to give at the offering altar, Sarclitas.

During the Seven Years' War, Shay Cormac found a cave painting of a great turtle, as part of the story of the Sky Woman. The painting depicted the great turtle that carried a part of Earth on its back. As time passed on, the turtle and the earth on its back grew to be island, which would be called North America.
