Torghatten Rock is a mountain located on Torget island along the western coast of Norway.

History

In the late 9th century, shieldmaiden Eivor explored the mountain, synchronizing with a viewpoint on its summit, stacking a cairn at its base, and finding a treasure hoarde buried in its distinctive eye.

Behind the scenes

In Assassin's Creed: Valhalla Torghatten Rock is depicted as being part of Hordaland, visible and almost due west from Alrekstad. In reality the mountain is located in Nordland county much to the north and actually even east of Hordaland.
