Toa was a chief to a village in Savai'i.

Around 824, a stranger came to ask Toa and his sister, Nafanua for help, showing them symbols their culture recognized as harbingers of great evil. However, as war raged between east and west of the island, Toa had to remain behind as Nafanua travelled to Fustat.[1]

After Nafanua died, Roshan retrieved her weapon, Tafesilafa'i, in the hopes it could be returned to Toa, along with the location of where they had buried his sister.[2]
