Timon of Athens
Timon of Athens was an Athenian citizen who lived during the 5th century BCE.
A misanthrope who lived during the reign of the statesman Perikles, Timon shut himself away from social contact on a farm, in a tower near Dekelia which served as both a refuge and granary.[1]
