Thynghowe

Thynghowe was an abandoned Viking assembly place located in Snotinghamscire, England.

History

In the 870s, Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan ventured through the area and found one of the last drengr of Ragnar Lothbrok, Skegjold Frenzy-Seeker. Realizing the bodies around them, Eivor spoke to Skegjold as both shieldmaidens discussed Skegjold's time with Ragnar as the drengr asked Eivor to drink the special ale and enter the special frenzy, which only one survived. Understanding the task, Eivor drank the brew and engaged Skegjold in combat. After an intense fight, Skegjold died as Eivor performed final rites on the warrior before leaving.[1]
