The Thaerelea Ruins were a ruin complex in Oxenefordscire, England. In the late 9th century, they had been repurposed as a military camp.

Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir, while working on diminishing the influence of Eadwyn over Oxenefordscire, came upon part of Geadric's fyrd, who requested her help against Eadwyn's men. A large group soon attacked them, but they managed to defeat them.[1]
