Temple of Artemis Orthia

The Temple of Artemis Orthia was an important religious site situated in the east of Sparta in Lakonia, Peloponnese, Greece. Located near the village of Limnai and the river Eurotas, it was dedicated to Artemis, the Greek goddess of the Moon and the hunt.

During the Peloponnesian War, the temple was visited by the Spartan misthios, Kassandra.[1]
