Templar Scoring System
The Templar Scoring System is a new multiplayer feature that was introduced withe the Animus Project Update 2.0. The Templar score is calculated by first, dividing the multiplayer into three gameplay families: Free For All (Wanted and Advanced Wanted game modes), Team (Manhunt and Chest Capture game modes) and Co-op (Alliance and Advanced Alliance). The best scores from each of these three families per week are taken and used to create a weekly average. At the end of each week, the score for that week along with the weekly score of the previous four weeks are used to calculate an overall score for each of the gameplay families. These overall scores are then combined to make your Templar Score. Once the Templar Score is created, it is used to divide the players into ten different levels, which is the Templar Grade. The Templar Grades are as follows:

01 - 02% - Grand Master
02 - 05% - Master
03 - 06% - Seneschal
04 - 07% - Advisor
05 - 08% - Commander
06 - 10% - Preceptor
07 - 12% - Knight
08 - 14% - Warrior
09 - 16% - Cleric
10 - 20% - Disciple
The percentages represent the number of players in the grade out of the total population and are the same for all modes as well as the overall grade, on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
When playing in a session, your Templar Grade for that mode is shown next to your name. Templar Grade is also used in matchmaking in Ranked sessions, ensuring that you play with people of your same skill level, or as close as the system can get at a given time.
