The Old Syrian sword was a weapon used during the Third Crusade and the Italian Renaissance.
Specifications
The sword was a curved blade of approximately 90 centimeters (or 3 feet). It bore some relation to a scimitar and was classed as a superior weapon, except for its size.

Trivia
- The Old Syrian sword is obtained randomly by Ezio Auditore during the first DNA sequence despite originally receiving the Common sword from his father's chest.
- It is considered the best sword in Assassin's Creed. However, its capabilities are considerably weaker in the other two games of the series.
