The little-known-about Subject 0 was the first participant in Abstergo Industries experimental Animus Project.

Sometime prior to 1984, this individual was made to view the genetic memories of their ancestor - Aveline de Grandpré - whilst they were recorded by Abstergo. Eventually, in 2011, the memories were used as the basis for Abstergo Entertainment's video game Liberation.
