The Statue of Artemis Tauropolos was a statue of the goddess Artemis used as a place of worship located on the Marathon Beach in Attika, Greece.

Some said that the statue at the altar was brought from Tauris by Iphigenia, the daughter of King Agamemnon. According to the Spartans, however, they carried the image of Artemis to Lakonia, where the goddess was worshipped as Artemis Orthia. Yet others claim that the statue was stolen by Persians.[1]

During the Peloponnesian War BCE the Spartan misthios Kassandra visited the site.[1]
