Spade of all Trades

The Spade of all Trades was a common heavy mace used in the 1st century BCE Egypt. The rectangular head was good save in a fight, also plausible tool in the garden.

During his hunt for the Order of the Ancients, the Medjay Bayek of Siwa commonly found this shield in the inventories of blacksmiths and on bodies and in chests during his travels throughout Egypt.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Spade of All Trades, a weapon in Assassin's Creed: Origins, shares the same model as The Uab Block, another weapon in the same game. These are both the recycled as the Giant Mace, a weapon in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, and its kind. The design of the model appears to be inspired by the ceremonial Sekhem scepter.

The name of the Spade of All Trades is a reference to the figure of speech, "Jack of all trades, master of none".[2]
