The Smoke Screen Bomb blinded its victims hereby breaking their line of sight. It could be crafted using any shell or gunpowder type combined with the phosphorus effect. It could also be obtained by looting Varangian corpses.
Description
- Piri: "Ah! Turkish smoke bombs. Are you curious to try a few?"
- Ezio: "Should I? I have used smoke bombs before, with varying results."
- Piri: "But not like ours. We have a special recipe for deep, dark clouds. Throw one of these and your eyes are useless. You must rely on your hearing, and... any other senses you may have cultivated."

The bomb released a deep, dark cloud of smoke, obscuring the vision of those trpped in it's radius. It's effect was so great that those trapped within the smoke screen had to rely completely on their hearing.
A highly effective bomb, both at breaking pursuit and disabling any guards within its radius without risking civilian casualties, it did not, however, last for very long making the guards outside its radius, while still unable to pass through, capable of attacking. Also, it obscured Ezio's vision, which forced him to activate Eagle Sense in order to "see" inside the cloud.
Assassin apprentices could also equip themselves with these.
Trivia
- The achievement "I can see you" can be achieved by killing 5 guards while under the cover of smoke of the smoke screen bomb.
