Skinning Knife

The Skinning Knife was a type of dagger widely used in the 5th century BCE Greece. Named for their main purpose, these daggers saw also their share of combat.
During the Peloponnesian War, due to their everyday use, these daggers were easily found in the inventories of blacksmiths.[1] Daggers of this kind were also occasionally favored by the Order of the Ancients during their time in Greece. Namely, the elite footmen of the Order carried and wielded these.[2]

Behind the scenes
The Skinning Knife, a weapon in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, shares the same model as a number of other similar weapons in the same game, including the Dagger of Messara and Shapur's Crooked Dagger, two other weapons in the same game. These are all the recycled model of Storm Blades, a weapon in Assassin's Creed: Origins.
