Sinmara is a giantess in Norse mythology.

Behind the scenes

Sinmara is usually considered a consort to the fire jötunn Surtr, though she is actually the wife of Mímir. She is attested solely in the poem Fjölsvinnsmál, where she is mentioned alongside Surtr and described as keeper of the legendary weapon Lævateinn.<ref> Sinmara on WikipediaCite error: The opening <ref> tag is malformed or has a bad name
