Sergei (unknown - 1928) was a member of the Russian Brotherhood of Assassins during the late 19th and early 20th century.

Biography

"You have seen things that no other man alive has seen, been given messages intended for the Order that must never fall into the hands of our enemies. Don't be so selfish."
―Sergei to Nikolai after he refused to return to Russia

Sergei was tasked by the Mentor of the Russian Brotherhood to bring Nikolai Orelov, a former Assassin who had severed ties with the Brotherhood years ago and fled to the United States with his family, back to Russia for interrogation. Sergei worked with Assassins in America to track Nikolai down to a cabin in the woods of Connecticut.

Upon arriving at the cabin, Sergei found Nikolai's son Innokenti outside and greeted him before asking where his father was. Nikolai came out of the house when he heard voices, and Sergei greeted his old comrade before stating that he needed him to come back to Russia with him. Nikolai refused, claiming that his time with the Brotherhood was finished and that his life was with his son now. Sergei expressed disappointment in his decision, stating that since Nikolai had come into contact with the Imperial Sceptre and had also been witness and the only survivor of the Tunguska explosion, he had knowledge that must never fall into the hands of the Templars.

Sergei then grabbed Innokenti, calling Nikolai greedy for having taken a shard of the Imperial Sceptre with him when he escaped Russia, and wondered if they should not take something small in return from him, holding a knife up to Innokenti's face. He was taken off-guard when Nikolai used a frying pan to disarm him and knock him to the ground. Nikolai began to strangle Sergei, who futilely attempted to struggle against the former Assassin before dying.
