The Seer's Hut was the home of the Raven Clan's seer, Valka, and was located in southern Ledecestrescire, Mercia within the Norse settlement of Ravensthorpe.
History
Upon her arrival in Ravensthorpe, in 873 CE, Valka was aided by her friend and fellow clanswoman, the Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir, to move her belongings into a tent.[1] The tent was later renovated into a complete building in 873 by Eivor. Needing help with her visions of Odin, Eivor asked Valka for guidance. Valka accepted and began with the use of elixirs.[2] Within the hut, Eivor drank the elixirs and started to live the memories of Odin's life and his adventures through the Nine Realms, especially his time in Asgard[2][3], Jötunheimr,[4] Svartálfaheimr[5] and Niflheimr.[6]
In 878, Valka was working within her hut as she was unexpectedly visited by Niamh of Argyll, who asked for help to find and rescue kidnapped women from an Order nunnery. Wondering why, Valka was told that if the women are mistreated, they would need medical aid. Quickly, Valka readied herself as they both later left to find and infiltrate the nunnery.[7] After their mission went awry, Valka returned home with a new inhabitant, a young girl, who was saved from the nunnery's grasp.[8] Time passed as Niamh, who recently took Excalibur from Eivor, arrived back at Valka's hut to see Valka. Bloodied and poisoned, Niamh asked for help as Valka threatened her to tell her why. Niamh told the truth and after hearing the reasoning, Valka agreed to help. As Niamh rested, Valka contacted Hytham for further help and to help explain for Niamh's betrayal.[9]
A day passed as Hytham and Niamh debated on why Niamh was alive within the hut. While Valka explained Niamh's reasons, the witch-warrior interrupted the meeting as she stated the Descendants of the Round Table sent soldiers after her and wanted them to hide. Outside the hut, Niamh began to fight against the soldiers alone, only for Hytham to step in and defeat them alongside Niamh. After the fight, Niamh and Hytham hashed out their differences as Valka offered a solution to resolve the hunt for Excalibur. Together, the three concocted a plan of burning a fake Excalibur while Niamh traveled to Avalon with the real one.[10] After a day of rest, Niamh met with Valka as they prepared themselves for the façade of a lifetime.[11]
