Arc of Elan
The Arc of Elan was a custom-made hunter bow used in England by Essexe's ealdorman Birstan to hunt quick game during the 9th century.
During her travels, the Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan received this bow as a gift from Birstan after securing an alliance in Essexe.[1]
