Rædwald of East Anglia
Rædwald (died c. 624) was the King of the East Angles from around 599 until his death. A notably strong military leader, when he died in battle he was presumed to have been wearing a helmet of a specific design, Rædwald's alleged helmet when discovered was named by archeologists as the Sutton Hoo helmet.[1]
