The Ruined Temple of Athena Poliouchos was a temple dedicated to Athena located in the southern coast of Chios, Greece. During the 6th century BCE, the temple was where Pactyas, a Lydian general under Cyrus the Great sought refuge in to escape capture. When he was subsequently captured, the residents of the island stopped making offerings to the temple.
During the Peloponnesian War the temple ruins was visited by the Spartan misthios Kassandra.[1]
