Rafee (died 1189) was a member of the Levantine Brotherhood of Assassins.[1]

Biography

In 1189, Al Mualim tasked fellow Assassin Faisal with flanking the oncoming Templars to drive them from Masyaf, and Rafee offered his help although he was rejected. Later, in Damascus, he discovered Faisal having a meeting with a Templar, The Hideout. While the Templar escaped, Rafee questioned what Faisal was doing with a Templar and said that they both knew what he had to do, but Faisal struck first, killing him. As Rafee lay dying, he forgave Faisal, acknowledging that his death might be necessary for their cause, to which Faisal responded by promising to make Rafee's death mean something and that what he was doing was for the Creed.[1]
