Quarry of Korkyra

The Quarry of Korkyra was a quarry on the Greek island of Korfu, named after and associated with the near by polis of Korkyra. By the time of the Peloponnesian War, the quarry had been taken control by a group of bandits working for a leader known as the Mad Captain.

During the Peloponnesian War, the misthios Kassandra traveled to the quarry while tracking down the whereabouts of Herodotos and his professor associate. Inside the quarry, Kassandra discovered the professor's body and a note from the Mad Captain revealing Herodotos's whereabouts at the Overgrown Ruins.[1]

At the same time, Kassandra also explored the site, killing the bandits and looting their valuables.[2]
