Apollo 11
The 1969 Apollo 11 Moon Landing was a Templar plot spearheaded by US President Lyndon Johnson in order to recover a Piece of Eden, the Fifth Apple, which was located on the Moon.
Plans For Moon Mission
The American President John F. Kennedy made plans for a joint venture to the Moon with the Soviets. The Templars knew however that an Apple of Eden could be found on the Moon, which they didn't want the Soviets to get their hands on. They assassinated Kennedy and replaced him with Lyndon B. Johnson to allow them to recover the Apple.
Recovering the Apple
With the mission being a success, the astronauts returned and the Piece of Eden came into the possession of Abstergo Industries, though it was never shown to the public. Information about the event was later discovered by Clay Kaczmarek after he had hacked Abstergo's files, during his time as Animus Subject 16.
He later placed the uncovered information onto the Animus' memory core which was implanted into the Animus 2.0, as the fifth glyph puzzle that Desmond Miles would later find during his time in the Animus, reliving the memories of his ancestor Ezio Auditore da Firenze, at the Hideout alongside Lucy Stillman, Shaun Hastings and Rebecca Crane.[1]
