This article is about the Abstergo Industries program. You may be looking for Assassin's Creed: Project Legacy.

Project Legacy was an initiative of Abstergo Industries, which was used to analyze the genetic memories of several notable individuals. The project can be likened to the company's Animus Project, though it dealt with more general memories, while the Animus Project was for very specific subjects.[1]

The project made use of the Data Dump Scanner, which allowed for a large number of Abstergo recruits to analyze the memories several people, despite not being blood-related to them.[2] These memories were farmed before being placed for review, often through collaboration with the company's Lineage Discovery and Acquisition department.[1]

In 2012, the project was placed on hold, due to the security concerns caused by Erudito.[1]
