The Porta Aurelia is a landmark in Rome.

The gate is located near the top of the hill of Gianicolo, which was later named as Porta San Pancrazio. Pope Urban VIII remodelled during the 17th Century. The Via Aurelia served as Rome's connection to France during the Republic and Middle Ages and therefore was extremely important for trade.
