Piri Reis
Piri Reis was a good friend of Ezio Auditore, a sea captain and a cartograph.[1]
Biography
At one point during his mid-teen years, he traveled with his uncle Kemal Reis, a Turkish pirate who mainly roamed around the edges of the Ottoman Empire, turning their passion into a profession by joining Sultan Beyazid's navy some time during the 1490s.[1]
After spending two decades on traveling, Piri chose to do something more with his tranquil occupation; cartography. Only a few years after this, when he had his own studio within the Grand Bazaar[2] - which was at one point broken into by the Templars - and had grown into a master mapmaker, he met Ezio, and taught him how to craft bombs when the Assassin visited Constantinople.[1]
Characteristics and personality
Piri Reis was an intellegent and witty man, who could sometimes get grumpy when being interrupted.[1]
