Philip III of Spain (14 April 1578 – 31 March 1621) was King of Spain and Portugal from 1598 to his death.

In 1609, he ordered the expulsion of the Moriscos and an estimated 300,000 (roughly 4% of the total Spanish population) were forced to leave the country.
