Peter the Great
Peter I Alekseevich (Russian: Пётр I Алексеевич; June 1672 – 8 February 1725), also known as Peter the Great, was Tsar of the Russian Empire from 1682 to 1725.
He founded the city of Saint Petersburg[1] and the Russian Academy of Sciences.[2] This city became the country's capital for more than 200 years.[1]
