A Pernach is a mace with a flanged head originating in the 12th century which was widely used throughout Europe. Its design allowed for greater penetration of plate armor, making it a formidable weapon.
During the late 15th century, the Spanish Brotherhood of Assassins utilized the pernach as part of their arsenal. They were able to forge it in their hideout in Sierra de Cazorla.[1]
