The Penitent's Blade was a dagger in the possession of an Empedoklite during the 5th century BCE.
During the Peloponnesian War, the dagger was rewarded to the Spartan misthios Kassandra for freeing Empedokles from the Murex Fort on Kythera Island.[1]
